A few weeks have past and I’m still feeling accomplished for assembling this new couch for the kids play room. It was delivered to me in three enormous boxes and left at my door, which the furniture store neglected to mention to me.
Feeling confident, I mustered up the strength to bring each box into the house, unwrap the individual contents, carry them to the second floor, and begin assembling the pieces. It was a struggle and it took all day, but I’ve never been the type to turn down a challenging project.
With the new addition of the couch, I decided it was time to redecorate the playroom while I was feeling motivated. I got some new fabric toy bins from Target in a light teal color. Then, I got some vases in stripes and polka dots from Hobby Lobby to add some pattern to the mix along with fake flowers in teal. The fake floral department at Hobby Lobby is amazing! And while I was there, I got some dark teal ribbon that I added to the beautiful handmade dream catcher on the wall. I swopped out the throw pillows from our downstairs living room to compliment the teal tones. Finally, I pulled out an old furry rug from our storage closet. It matched perfectly with the new grey couch!
All in all, I am pretty satisfied with my playroom “facelift”. It’s amazing what a few different colors, patterns and textures can do!
